PM Narendra Modi reacts to Supreme Court controversy, says ‘attack on CJI has outraged the entire nation’

Prime Minister Narendra Modi condemned Monday’s attempted attack on Chief Justice of India (CJI) B. R. Gavai inside the Supreme Court, saying the incident has “angered every Indian.”
In a post on social media platform X, the Prime Minister wrote, “Spoke to Chief Justice of India, Justice B. R. Gavai Ji. The attack on him earlier today within the Supreme Court premises has deeply upset every Indian. Such shameful acts have no place in a civilized society and must be strongly condemned.”
Modi also commended the CJI for his composure during the incident. “I deeply appreciate the calm and restraint shown by Justice Gavai in such circumstances. His response reflects his unwavering commitment to justice and to upholding the spirit of our Constitution,” the PM added.
According to reports, Justice Gavai remained composed in the courtroom during the episode and reassured those present, saying, “Don’t get distracted by this. We are not affected. Such things do not bother me.”
