Hollywood bid farewell to one of its most enduring legends on September 16. Robert Redford, the iconic actor and filmmaker known for timeless films such as Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid and The Sting, passed away at 89. His publicist confirmed on Tuesday that Redford died peacefully in his sleep at his home in Utah.
On Instagram, Priyanka Chopra paid homage by sharing a photo of Redford, captioning it with just one word—“Icon”—accompanied by a folded-hands emoji.
Kareena Kapoor Khan, meanwhile, remembered him through one of his own quotes: “Storytelling is important. Part of human continuity.” She added her own tribute with the words, “In Power Legend.”
