ANSES Announces August 2026 Payment Schedule for Pensions, AUH and Other Benefits

Argentina’s National Social Security Administration, known as ANSES, has released the payment schedule for pensions, retirement benefits, the Universal Child Allowance and several other social-security programmes for August 2026. Payments will be distributed according to the final digit of each beneficiary’s National Identity Document, or DNI.

The August payments will include a 1.89% increase under the monthly mobility formula, reflecting the precise inflation figure used for social-security calculations. Argentina’s official statistics agency, INDEC, reported that consumer prices increased by 1.9% in June 2026, while the annual inflation rate stood at 33.5%. The small difference between the published inflation rate and the 1.89% adjustment is explained by the use of the unrounded figure in ANSES calculations.

Under Argentina’s current mobility system, pensions and eligible social allowances are adjusted every month using the Consumer Price Index from two months earlier. Therefore, June inflation determines the increase applied to August payments. This system was introduced under Decree 274/2024 to provide more frequent adjustments in a high-inflation environment.

In addition to the increase, the Government will continue the extraordinary pension bonus of up to $70,000 for retirees and pensioners receiving the lowest incomes. The bonus will be paid together with the regular monthly benefit and will not require a separate application.

Minimum Pension Rises to Around $489,800 Including Bonus

Following the 1.89% adjustment, the minimum monthly retirement benefit will rise to approximately $419,800 before the extraordinary bonus.

Beneficiaries who qualify for the full $70,000 supplement will therefore receive a total of approximately:

Minimum pension with bonus: $489,800

The maximum retirement benefit will increase to approximately:

Maximum pension: $2,823,311.87

The $70,000 supplement is not added to every retirement payment. It is intended mainly for beneficiaries receiving the minimum pension and other low-income pension categories.

Retirees receiving an amount above the minimum may qualify for a partial bonus. In those cases, ANSES calculates the amount required to bring their total income up to the limit formed by the minimum pension plus the maximum bonus.

For example, a retiree whose ordinary pension is slightly higher than the minimum may receive only part of the $70,000 supplement. Those already receiving significantly higher pensions will not qualify for the additional payment.

The important point is that the $489,800 figure already includes the $70,000 bonus. It should not be interpreted as $489,800 plus another $70,000.

New PUAM and Non-Contributory Pension Amounts

The Universal Pension for Older Adults, commonly known as PUAM, is generally calculated as 80% of the minimum retirement benefit. Its base value for August will be approximately:

PUAM base amount: $335,820.73

Beneficiaries who qualify for the complete extraordinary supplement could receive approximately:

PUAM with the $70,000 bonus: $405,820.73

The base amount for eligible Non-Contributory Pensions, including certain disability and old-age pensions, will be approximately:

Non-Contributory Pension base amount: $293,843.14

When the full extraordinary supplement applies, the total could reach approximately:

Non-Contributory Pension with bonus: $363,843.14

The actual amount deposited may depend on the type of pension, the beneficiary’s other payments and the rules governing the extraordinary supplement.

ANSES August Payment Calendar for Non-Contributory Pensions

Non-Contributory Pension beneficiaries will be among the first groups paid in August. The schedule is arranged in pairs according to the last digit of the DNI.

DNI ending in 0 and 1: August 10

DNI ending in 2 and 3: August 11

DNI ending in 4 and 5: August 12

DNI ending in 6 and 7: August 13

DNI ending in 8 and 9: August 14

This payment cycle will be completed before the national holiday observed on August 17.

Payment Dates for Minimum-Pension Retirees

Retirees and pensioners whose regular benefits do not exceed the minimum payment threshold will begin receiving their money on August 10.

The schedule is:

DNI ending in 0: August 10

DNI ending in 1: August 11

DNI ending in 2: August 12

DNI ending in 3: August 13

DNI ending in 4: August 14

DNI ending in 5: August 18

DNI ending in 6: August 19

DNI ending in 7: August 20

DNI ending in 8: August 21

DNI ending in 9: August 24

There will be no regular banking activity on Monday, August 17, because of the national holiday marking the anniversary of the death of General José de San Martín. Payments will consequently resume on Tuesday, August 18.

The extraordinary pension bonus will normally be deposited automatically alongside the monthly pension. Beneficiaries will not need to register separately or submit a special form to receive it.

Payment Dates for Pensions Above the Minimum

Retirees and pensioners receiving more than the minimum benefit will be paid during the final week of August.

The confirmed schedule is:

DNI ending in 0 and 1: August 25

DNI ending in 2 and 3: August 26

DNI ending in 4 and 5: August 27

DNI ending in 6 and 7: August 28

DNI ending in 8 and 9: August 31

Some early schedules circulating online listed August 22 as the first payment date for this category. However, August 22 falls on a Saturday. The calendar reported by multiple sources places the first payment for above-minimum beneficiaries on Tuesday, August 25, and the final payment on Monday, August 31.

AUH Will Also Receive an August Increase

The Universal Child Allowance, or AUH, will also be updated under the monthly mobility system.

Based on the July amount of approximately $148,049 and the August increase, the new AUH value will be:

Total AUH amount per child: $150,861.90

ANSES does not normally deposit the complete amount every month. Instead, beneficiaries receive 80% of the entitlement, while 20% is retained until the required health, vaccination and education documentation is submitted through the AUH Booklet.

The August breakdown is:

Monthly amount deposited, representing 80%: $120,689.52

Amount retained, representing 20%: $30,172.38

Total entitlement: $150,861.90

The retained money is not permanently deducted. It accumulates and may be released after the beneficiary submits the AUH Booklet and ANSES verifies the child’s school attendance, health checks and vaccination records.

For a child with a disability, the August AUH value is expected to be approximately:

AUH for a child with a disability: $491,173 before the applicable monthly retention

Different amounts have appeared in some unofficial reports, including figures of $156,313.52 for the standard AUH and $508,825.41 for a child with a disability. However, these figures do not align with the July amount followed by a 1.89% adjustment. Beneficiaries should therefore verify the final amount shown in their individual payment statement through Mi ANSES.

AUH and Food Benefit Payment Dates

The AUH and compatible food-assistance payments will follow the DNI schedule below:

DNI ending in 0: August 10

DNI ending in 1: August 11

DNI ending in 2: August 12

DNI ending in 3: August 13

DNI ending in 4: August 14

DNI ending in 5: August 18

DNI ending in 6: August 19

DNI ending in 7: August 20

DNI ending in 8: August 21

DNI ending in 9: August 24

Eligible households may receive the AUH together with the Prestación Alimentar, previously widely known as the Food Card or Tarjeta Alimentar.

The food-support amounts reported for August are:

Households with one child: $72,250

Households with two children: $113,299

Households with three or more children: $149,425

These food-assistance amounts are separate from the AUH. They do not necessarily increase every month because they are not automatically governed by the same mobility formula.

The benefit is generally credited automatically to qualifying AUH and pregnancy-allowance recipients. Eligible beneficiaries normally do not need to submit a separate application.

SUAF Family Allowance Payment Schedule

The Family Allowance under the Single Family Allowance System, known as SUAF, will follow the same August sequence for eligible beneficiaries:

DNI ending in 0: August 10

DNI ending in 1: August 11

DNI ending in 2: August 12

DNI ending in 3: August 13

DNI ending in 4: August 14

DNI ending in 5: August 18

DNI ending in 6: August 19

DNI ending in 7: August 20

DNI ending in 8: August 21

DNI ending in 9: August 24

Unlike the AUH, SUAF payments vary according to the income range of the worker and the combined income of the family group. The amount received by one household may therefore differ from the amount deposited to another household with the same number of children.

ANSES also applies individual and family-income limits. A household may lose eligibility when the income of one parent or the combined family income exceeds the applicable ceiling.

Universal Pregnancy Allowance Payment Dates

Recipients of the Universal Pregnancy Allowance, or AUE, will be paid according to the following calendar:

DNI ending in 0: August 10

DNI ending in 1: August 11

DNI ending in 2: August 12

DNI ending in 3: August 13

DNI ending in 4: August 14

DNI ending in 5: August 18

DNI ending in 6: August 19

DNI ending in 7: August 20

DNI ending in 8: August 21

DNI ending in 9: August 24

Eligible AUE beneficiaries may also receive food assistance and, in certain cases, the Complemento Leche provided under the First 1,000 Days programme.

Prenatal, Maternity and Single-Payment Allowances

The Prenatal Allowance will be paid in grouped DNI categories:

DNI ending in 0 and 1: August 10

DNI ending in 2 and 3: August 11

DNI ending in 4 and 5: August 12

DNI ending in 6 and 7: August 13

DNI ending in 8 and 9: August 14

The Maternity Allowance will remain available for all DNI endings during the payment window running from August 10 to September 10.

Single-payment allowances covering marriage, birth and adoption will also be available for all DNI endings from August 10 to September 10.

Family allowances connected with Non-Contributory Pensions will follow the same extended payment window for all document endings.

Unemployment Benefit Dates for August

The Unemployment Benefit will be deposited during the final week of the month:

DNI ending in 0 and 1: August 24

DNI ending in 2 and 3: August 25

DNI ending in 4 and 5: August 26

DNI ending in 6 and 7: August 27

DNI ending in 8 and 9: August 28

The amount received under the unemployment programme depends on factors such as the beneficiary’s previous employment, contribution history and the stage of the benefit.

How Beneficiaries Can Check Their Payment

ANSES beneficiaries can verify the exact date, place and amount of their payment through the Mi ANSES website or mobile application.

Users must enter their CUIL number and Social Security Password. From the platform, they can review their payment date, download their benefit statement, check deductions and confirm whether the pension bonus or compatible family benefits have been included.

The Argentine Government also provides an online service through which beneficiaries can consult when and where their ANSES benefit will be paid.

Beneficiaries should check their individual statement before making financial decisions because the final amount may vary according to the type of benefit, income category, deductions, supplements and other payments received.

Why the August Increase Matters

Although the 1.89% adjustment increases the nominal value of pensions and allowances, its effect on household purchasing power will depend on the movement of essential expenses such as food, medicines, housing and utilities.

The monthly adjustment mechanism seeks to prevent a lengthy delay between inflation and increases in social-security payments. However, beneficiaries still receive compensation based on inflation from two months earlier rather than current-month prices.

For retirees receiving the minimum pension, the frozen $70,000 bonus remains particularly important. Because the bonus itself does not rise with inflation, the total income of a minimum-pension beneficiary grows by less than 1.89%.

For example, the percentage increase applies to the base pension of about $419,800, not to the combined total of $489,800. The bonus provides immediate support, but its real value gradually declines when prices continue to rise and the bonus remains unchanged.

Key Points for August 2026

ANSES benefits covered by the mobility formula will increase by 1.89%.

The minimum retirement benefit will be approximately $419,800 before the bonus.

Eligible minimum-pension recipients will receive approximately $489,800 after adding the $70,000 supplement.

The maximum retirement benefit will rise to around $2.82 million.

Non-Contributory Pension and minimum-pension payments begin on August 10.

Above-minimum pensions will be paid from August 25 to August 31.

The standard AUH will be approximately $150,861.90, of which $120,689.52 will normally be deposited monthly.

Most AUH, AUE and SUAF beneficiaries will receive payments between August 10 and August 24, depending on their DNI.

The schedule gives millions of beneficiaries advance information to organise household expenses during August. However, because some media reports contain conflicting amounts or dates, the payment details displayed in each beneficiary’s Mi ANSES account should be treated as the final reference.
